6 Fashion Trends Only 90's Babies Understand

Alright, it is time to take it back to the 90's y'all. As you know, H I S T O R Y repeats itself and so does Fashion. Because of some miraculous reason, fashion believes in rebirth and reincarnation, so it is time for us (90's babies) to embrace the 1990's v 2.0.

If you were a 90s baby like myself, I am pretty sure you grew up watching the best of the best, all of the irreplaceable shows like"Hey Arnold"and "Rocko's Modern Lifefrom Nickelodeon (last year, I decided to watch Rugrats on Netflix and thought to myself, "This show seemed so much cooler when I watched it as a 5 years old eating ramen noodles after school.")

You can't forget Goosebumps or Are You Afraid of the Dark because I would never let my babysitter go home after watching those shows. I mean, to the point I would hold on to my babysitter's legs asking her not to leave my room to go to the bathroom because I "BELIEVED" that a crazy  ghost or monster was going to kill me as soon and she was out of my sight.

You never said no to Spice Girls, Brittany Spears, NSYNC and Backstreet Boys and quite frankly, you would often find yourself debating with your friends in elementary school about who is cooler and better: Brittany Spears or Christina Aguilera? NSYNC or Backstreet Boys?

On that note, I wanted to share 6 fashion trends that slowly, but surely, made it back to 2016:

1. Matching Sets

If you are an American Raised Girl from the 90's, you can't forget the iconic movie, "Clueless." (I still admit, my favorite 2nd movie is Mean Girls, Duh). And of course, from that movie, you can't forget the skater skirts and matching sets! And if you were slightly off your fashion game, of course Cher will say, "Do you prefer ‘fashion victim’ or ‘ensemble-y challenged?'" (Sorry, but not sorry).

2. Bay Watch

Ok, most of us can admit that we were supposed to "NOT" watch this risque show on TV without getting trouble from the Rents, but how many of us remember Pamela Anderson running across the beach in her Red One Piece Swimsuit? (I do). Well ladies, it has come back, and it is better than ever.

3. Chokers

Say good bye to those hippish lookin' flower crowns because the bad boy "Chokers" are back. Remember in the 90's when everyone, I mean literally every girl in class wore those plastic chokers? (Or when Mary Kate and Ashley and Sabrina The Teenage Witch rocked it!!!) I thought it was the coolest thing when I wore my "Glow-In-The-Dark" choker one day.

4. Baby Spice's Hair-Do

Ok, we all had our obsessions over one Power Ranger (girls, you usually loved pink or yellow) and we ALSO love our 90's Spice Girls. Well ladies, the double bun hair style is back in action. I can't tell if Miley was the one that brought it back, but I know for a fact that the Original Queen B crown goes to Baby Spice.

5. The Fluffies

from fluffies in your hair, fluffies on your key chains, to flufflies on your double strap heels, its back ladies. If you don't remember, Cher and the rest of the cast members rocked them fluffies and we just modified it to make it a bit modern (maybe).

6. Brittney Spear's Jumpsuit

Ok, I will never forget the moment I saw my idol (or I should say every 90 girl's idol) wear that skin tight, meow-a-licious jumpsuit in "Oops I did it again." Even though crop tops have been popular in the fashion industry, Jumpsuits and Bodysuits are coming in (strong).
